Six Gophers headed to combine

The go routes were great, but yeah I did notice the out and even the circus looked like picks waiting to happen in the pros. Happy to hear the good things we’ve seen after the season has ended. It’s been so long since we’ve had a QB show up in the pros. Would be fun (even if only a long term backup).
I would not be shocked if Max ends up somewhere, and I would also not be surprised if, under the right circumstances, he replicates Brock Purdy's success.

That said, for every Brock Purdy, there is a busload of guys with enough talent to be successful in the NFL that never make it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I won't hold my breath.

I don’t think it’s about improving, zi think it’s about making them more comfortable taking him in round one and silencing more of the criticism.
I agree. If he wants teams to be confident about him being a day 1 pick, he'll need to show up on pro day with some of the kinks in his game ironed out.

Milt Hendrickson is a scout for the Ravens since 2005. His brother Marcus has been with Gophers since Fleck joined and is Director of Player Personnel. There's definitely a connection.
Milt was with the Ravens, he's been with the Packers (Football Operations) since 2019.

Why would Ersery even work out at the Gophers Pro Day? He literally just put up some of the best numbers ever seen by an OL at the combine?????
He can do O-Line drills and a lot of teams will probably send O-Line coaches to take a look at him in person. He won't need to the skill tests as he is unlikely to top those times so can just focus on position specific drill work.

Lindenberg will get drafted as well. Cooper aamd
Brosmer are likely 50/50.
I hope they do, but when you read national commentators you get a..ah.. slightly different different thoughts than what you read on GH.

I don't think the Purdy comparison is that far off. As good as Purdy has played, there are some warts in his game. He has a couple of skills related to his mobility and ability to throw across his body, but his arm strength is likely average at best and he's playing in a system suited to his positive traits (rabid 49er fans disagree with me).

I don't think Gopher fans have seen all that Brosmer can do and there may be some elements of his game that will show up in the evaluation process. I agree that for every late-round QB that makes it onto an NFL roster there's a couple of dozen who don't, but Brosmer's intelligence and the fact he's a "football rat" play in his favor. He'll be in a camp whether it's as a late-round pick or sought-after UFDA and we'll see how it goes from there.
