Is it just me or does it bite that Outback, Capital One, and Gator Bowls are being played at the same time (Gator is 30 minutes later)?:mad:

In fact ESPN just ran a spot promoting the "simultaneous" offering for today on the family of ESPN/ABC networks.

Historically, the Outback was at 10 AM CST followed by the Capital One at noon, etc.

I do not have a DVR (and in fact have had HD for 2 days now). Is that what's going on...can you watch one game and record 2 others (if you care to) for later watching?

I guess if one has watching multiple channel viewing capability in the system, or having a couple of TVs, that would work.

Otherwise, it's clickville.

Yeah it sucks. Not just for BT fans wanting to watch the games but for conference exposure as well. With a lot of our 'big boys' playing at the same time, our teams won't all get the attention that they could.
 

I like it. This is the way things used to be on New Year's Day, when you'd have to flip back and forth between channels for 11 hours.

If you want to watch a game without channel surfing, Northwestern is playing Texas Tech right now on ESPNU.

I've got MSU and Bama working with PSU and Florida in picture in picture, and checking in on NW and Texas Tech. Not sure what I'm gonna do when Michigan kicks off. I need another TV down here.
 

At least you punks get to WATCH the bowl games.. I have the choice of ONE. Having no ESPN sucks, btw.
 

The way the big ten teams are playing right now, I do not want to watch consecutive games of big ten teams losing. I would rather have it happen all at one time. Get ready for the arguments that the Big 10 is not very good if we don't start winning some of these games today.

Do yourself a favor and get DVR, it's the best thing since sliced bread. Keep in mind I have gone through 5 or 6 vcrs, so I like to record. Even pausing live tv is more handy than you might think.

As far as multiple recording; You can only record two programs at one time and can then only watch one of those two channels.....Unless....you have cable. I have a splitter where the cable comes out of the wall. One line goes to the cable(dvr)box and one goes to the tv/antenna input. If I am recording two programs I can change the source from component/hdmi to tv and watch a third program. I also get my local(msp) cable channels in hd without the cable box.

BTW pip/split screen is really nice.

This is brutal. Thank god they are all on at the same time so the torture is not prolonged. Dantonio should stop watching unless his cardiologist is on the sideline.

Things are going to get ugly around the house in about an hour, when my dad realizes that the Rose Bowl is not on an over-the-air channel.

At least I've got ESPN3 on the Interwebz. Not quite the same, but I'll take it over nothing.
