In Tanner's 3-star rankings, were the analysts assuming he could throw it 40 yards or not?
If they were and he's not, he should really be a 2-star.
If they assumed not, and he can, then he'd be closer to a 4-star.


If he was closer to a 2-Star, we'd have to give credit to PJ's staff for "coaching him up".

If he was closer to a 4-star, it wouldn't be as much "coaching him up", but instead it would be PJ finding "a diamond in the rough".

It's really hard to know what the correct narrative is in a case like this.
