I’m with him mad Mike I have Houston beating Florida in our pool as well GO COUGARSIf Cougars win tonight, I win my pool. Yes I loved the Duke loss.
I have Florida over Duke but nowhere close to winning the pool so I just hope it is a fun game and I think it will be.I’m with him mad Mike I have Houston beating Florida in our pool as well GO COUGARS
And don't forget the kick out of bounds stealing a possession away from Houston. On that put back dunk by Houston to get it down to 1, he was fouled there by Flagg. No call. Then Duke missed the front end of a 1 and 1. Everyone points to that one call but Duke got lucky there wasn't a foul called the previous possession. And make your free throws and it doesn't matter.
How can you NOT have several in bounds plays against the press? That's pathetic!I think why Duke choked is because they didn’t have an in bounds play for Houston’s full court press. Just a head scratcher and cost them the game.
Maybe even arrogance? We're so great we don't need to worry about pressure? How can you NOT have several in bounds plays against the press? That's pathetic!
I don’t think we have an inbounds play for any situation, at least the last 4 years I haven’t seen any. I can’t count the.” call a timeout so we can turn the ball over.” As an actual play. How can you NOT have several in bounds plays against the press? That's pathetic!
what you talking about? Free Throws matter? On that put back dunk by Houston to get it down to 1, he was fouled there by Flagg. No call. Then Duke missed the front end of a 1 and 1. I disagree with this... I can't believe that Sampson has coached his guys to do this, nor should he when there was still 30 seconds when the steal occurred. They "wasted" (I say wasted because it ended up not really mattering a lot in the grand scheme of things) about 5 seconds by dribbling out to shoot the 3, and were somewhat fortunate the rebound went their way. In my opinion (which is rightwhat you talking about? Free Throws matter?
After watching our brick-fest the past several years, I was blown away by the FTs that Houston made at the end to enable the comeback. Also, the preparation to know exactly what to do when they stole an inbounds pass, run to the 3pt line, shoot and have a guy ready for the put back on the miss. The entire team seemed calm and just executed the last 1:13. That's why good coaches matter.
