Sids health in general

His email is "shartman".

Let's just leave it there.

What a bunch of morons troll this site. Sid is a treasure. MaxyJr and Studwell are right. He might be a little grumpy but the fact that he is 93, still working, and doing what he loves should give him a pass a little. Just because you don't like what he says doesn't mean you need to disparage the guy. Who is this PhiPho d-bag anyways? He should take off his crew socks and sandals, get out of mom and dad's basement and contribute something to society! Get a life you F'stick!

And to think, if only Sid had followed this advice, none of this discussion would have occurred...

Being 93 does not give you the right to act like a horse's patoot. Sid was downright rude and unprofessional. He hasn't been a decent journalist since I attended the U and that was over 25 years ago. He has long been a joke as a writer and its sad that the Strib and CCO continue to trot him out there.

Yeah, I heard his questions at the press conference. Very alarming to hear an AD be questioned like that, awkward to hear. I believe at one point he actually asked about specific recruits by name, commenting on them specifically would be an NCAA violation. Overstepping the bounds of decent questioning no doubt.

Sid is awesome. He's also the biggest gopher rube ever. He would fit in great on this forum. If you're more interested in questions from other media members about how racist Norwood is for not hiring more minorities, or a bunch of BS about how much the buyout costs, you're welcome to read/listen elsewhere.

And the sad thing is, Sid is twice the reporter that Mike "smirking idiot from Gaylord" Max will ever be. He may not be a polished writer or interviewer, but reporting (in the sense of finding things out) is about contacts and access - and Sid has contacts and access. Sure, he's slipped some - but for the luvva pete, he's 93!. I'm 57, and when I get out of bed Monday morning, I don't want to go to work. Imagine working 6 and 7 days a week at his age. The work ethic, if nothing else, deserves some respect.

Those who criticise Sid are the real d-bags.

This thread is better than any comedy on TV tonight..by far.

I've been reading Sid since the early 60's and looked forward to column first thing every morning.

Amazing that a guy that's 93 can go like he does but you still have to face the facts. The guy is losing it and he is often rude(like yesterday).
