Sid: Tubby disappointed, but still wants to coach; "I always take the high road."

Tubby definitely never took the high road with his players. My personal favorite was his childish shots at Iverson when he transferred.
Sadly the 22 year old had to be the more mature man than the 60 year old.
what was Tubby's quote on Iverson? I dont think I ever heard it.

Tubby's always been classy, not sure why anybody's surprised. I wish they would have just fired one of his assistants, as I've said before, and I wish Tubby nothing but the best at his next job.

Tubby wasn't.

I should amend that to say 'at times Tubby wasn't'.

I didn't like him throwing players under the bus publicly and I'm not a fan of people proclaiming "I'll take the high road". Sounds too self-serving.

Tubby only takes the high road when it suits him. One need only look at his interviews after losses down the stretch of the season.

Is he basically a good guy? Yes. Is he the saint that everybody opposed to his firing makes him out to be? No.

If you have to point out that you always take the high road, then you probably don't.

I don't always take the high road, it doesn't always make sense to.

Apparently the bus takes the high road also. I don't see how else Tubby could keep throwing players under it.
