If I remember correctly, Minnesota led 35-0 at the half. That one ripped my heart out.

The Dome loss to Northwestern when the Gophers were 7-1 started the Brewster crash & burn.

When NW tied the game I (and many others around me) hoped we'd take a knee and go to overtime. The offense was struggling and we needed to go about 60 yards in thirty seconds to even have a shot at a field goal.
Instead, we tried to force a pass into Decker, it was intercepted and returned for a TD with only a few seconds left. Decker was injured on the play and missed several games, and the bottom dropped out on the season.
I sometimes wonder what would have happened if we had won that game in OT. Would have been
8-1 with a struggling Michigan team coming to the dome the next week. Instead we were shell-shocked without our best player and limped to the finish.
