Sid Hartman: Brewster left cupboard very bare

Oh God, Sid.. Shut up.

Give Sid some credit, someone did some homework for him. The Gameday program lists a squad of 118, probably down to 115 at present. Listed are 11 redshirt seniors, includes 3 walk-ons and two transfers (1 from division 2) so 2007 class 6 recruits remain on squad. 2008 class (redshirt juniors and seniors) 21 remain - 12 recruits, 1 JC transfer and 8 walkons (1 earned a scholarship). Program lists 29 true freshman (includes 6 walkons), 23 redshirt freshman (includes 5 walkons), 6 sophomores (2 walkons and 2 transfers), 17 redshirt sophomores (4 walkons & 1 transfer). 75 total freshman and sophomores, 65% of squad. 52 freshman, more than total juniors and seniors -40. We lack experience and maturity. I for one will support Jerry Kill and his staff as they are undermanned at present and as they develope a program.

Even badger joel macturi, the incompetent little ranger, had to attempt to abort the horribly ill-fated disaster he had created by hiring that brewster, extending him and then buying him out and terminating his contract mid-season in 2010. The bjm-inspired failed brewball disaster not only quickly made TCF BANK STADIUM a very unhappy experience for the student section, but insured that not many Big Ten football games would be won by the home team any time soon in that beautiful new stadium because that brewster left the program in such dire straights from a Big Ten ready player stand point.

Sid is correct.
