SH's 5th Visit to Miami

I'd take a free trip to Miami now as well.

They need more help on the line then anyone. The Badgers abused that line all night long.

Go to Minnesota. Be a hero. Change the culture. They will be talking about you for 50 years after you are gone.

ACC football??? Really Seantrel? I think he just wants to escape to Florida in January.

I bet it's because he watched that documentary ESPN keeps playing about the U. That thing would make anyone want to go there.

He wouldn't be the first CDH'er to go to Miami Steve Walsh went there in the 80's and had like a 23-1 record for the 'canes. How do I know that? That damn ESPN documentary, it's the best and worst thing they've put out since the bottom line.

MN is the only school that SH could go to and become an absolute, larger than life legend. As an OT you will not be remembered at any other school no matter the success on the field.

Definition of a Homer

And we have just witnissed the definition of a homer.

Sign with MN... When your in Miami . Please talk to another 5* and have him sign with MN also.

Good Luck SH

I don't find a lot to disagree with about rural's post. The biggest draw for SH to come here is the hometown hero effect in my mind. He's not going to get that anywhere else, unless he goes to like St. Thomas I guess. Looks like I'm a homer too.

I can't see SH signing with Miami or USC. He'll stay in the Midwest.

If he goes to Ohio State and turns out like Orlando Pace, he'll be an absolute, larger than life legend. Guaranteed. Just sayin.

Now, it won't have the same EFFECT as if it were for his "hometown" team, but it's in the same general ballpark.

I didn't say that he wouldn't be an All- American or anything, but they are a dime a dozen there. I may be a homer but I would venture that 25 years from now Lauranitis (sp?) will be one of many good linebackers, not an absolute, latger than life legend. few have that opportunity. Afterall, he would have to compete with Pace to be considered the best OT in the last 20 years.

Yup. If you can't see that, you weren't watching ESPN in the late 90s. Pace was all over the network. As an OT.

Even so, it's taken months for someone to remember Orlando Pace while speculating about SH's college legacy. The fact is, it's the skill players that are remembered first by most people. Still, W
whether he goes to Minnesota or one of the other schools, he's going to get plenty of attention.

As an aside, when did being a homer become a bad thing? Is that the KFAN effect? OF COURSE I'm a homer, I'm posting on GopherHole for cryin' out loud!

It ain't a bad thing at all, if you can live with it. Being a homer is a lot easier when you're a fan of a great team because you're right more often than you're wrong, and most people don't like being wrong.

I'm a homer! We're not the media for crying out loud, and thus required to take objective viewpoints. Rural is right -he's on Gopherhole, of course he is a homer, as are the vast majority of the rest of us on here.

Seantrel, everywhere else but MN is terrible.

I suggest you attend an Ohio State game in the Horseshoe sometime. The most popular jersey today among Buckeye fans is #33.

My blind homerism is starting to fade when it comes to a Seantrel commitment. All I keep reading everywhere outside of the Twin Cities makes no mention other than token consideration of the Gophers being a legitimate option. The only mention is through the local papers and Nadine. This makes me wonder if it is meerly to just save face with the locals.

I bet it's because he watched that documentary ESPN keeps playing about the U. That thing would make anyone want to go there.

Ironically they turned it into a story about guys who convinced each other to stay home and help build a strong program.

MNCH-
I might be wrong, but I don't think it is 25 years yet. I might also be wrong about my statement on Lauranitis, but I doubt it. I think, again we're talking long term, that at best he'll be remembered as one of tOSU's many great players and at worst the leader of the D for teams that couldn't 'win the big one'.

I think he eliminated us in his head along time ago :(

The only thing he can say about us when asked is..."oh yeah home town team, first offer, Tim Brewster's a cool guy". you know in his head he's thinking can we please get back to USC or Ohio State.
