The term realist is a word created by people who can't comprehend opposing viewpoints. It implies that everyone else is being unrealistic. I am not going to personally bash Herman, but his entire post was covered in ignorance.
#1: Not seeing anything commendable...
Well, I think what others find commendable is that he is doing what is best for himself, but what is probably not the easiest thing to do. He could certainly ditch school and go make some the quick/easy money in Europe. It is similar to like "character evidence" and the opposite of what Royce has done.
#2: "He is lucky he is not in prison if he did what he is charged:
-They are in the process of sorting that out. He would be lucky if he is found guilty and he doesn't get prison time, but he would be incredibly unlucky to have gone through this IF he is innocent. That "IF" is being sorted out.
#3: "If he is innocent, why is he delaying his trial..."
Do you really think Trevor came up with his own legal strategy? It's probably a safe bet that Trevor hired an attorney who came up with this strategy, and Trevor is simply playing along. The fact is that this is a very standard tactic used by defense attornies, especially in cases like Trevor's. If his attorney didn't imply this tactic he wouldn't be doing his job.
