Shooter: The Gophers baseball job pays about $200,000 a year. Meanwhile, Tennessee just signed its baseball coach, Tony Vitello, to a $3MM/year.

Deservingly too, Tennessee is consistently in the CWS with I'm sure a few loaded alumni while the Gophers are just hoping to have a winning record. The Gopher baseball program will never be the same as it was a few years ago and now with NIL it's just another hurdle that they can't or won't overcome.

Face it, the non-West Coast BG10 is a minor league in baseball and softball. The South and West Coast are in a completely different stratosphere in those sports. If the NCAA seasons were pushed back by 6 weeks, it would be different, but that won't happen.
