Yes, but it is like pulling teeth except the guys pulling teeth collect more cash.

This is a little ironic. PJ Fleck at the B1G Media day was talking about all of the great NIL opportunities in the Twin Cities because of all the Fortune 500 companies in the area.

But, the Gophers for whatever reason have not been able to convince those companies and their highly-paid executives to make sizeable donations to the U of MN athletic department.

Either the Gophers are not making the right sales pitch, or they have the wrong people making that pitch. Either way, something needs to be done. Otherwise, the Gophers have to borrow money to pay off the debt on the Village, and the money going to repay that loan is money that won't be going to support Gopher athletes and other facilities.
