Yep, UNI is the peak of success for Ben's career. It was all downhill from there.
 





















Shooter with a scoop from December 9th of 2025 is pretty remarkable.
11 assistants...I think Ben is the only one without previous NBA experience or G League work.

7 years in the NBA is pretty admirable. But, Coffey is currently without a team for year 8. I like his chances of signing with somebody for year 8 if he still wants to play... better than the chances of Ben becoming a head coach in the NBA...but, anything is possible.

7 years is great, and hes made almost 14 Million dollars while still in his 20's...

Over a 40-year working career that's like making 350K a year. I'd say pretty successful.

Coffey didn't get drafted, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Clippers on a 2-way contract. I don't recall anyone crediting his Dad as having anything to do with it. I remember people being upset he left school early because the odds to get drafted weren't high and he did go undrafted. Everyone would have been overjoyed to have him back at the U for his senior year.

With the very lucrative ten year pension plan for NBA players, he has a huge incentive to fight through for a couple more years.
