Love him! My assessment 6’5 power forward who is not a great 3 pointer shooter.. he is like a small power forward who is athletic… posts up mainly on the left block… backs his man down where he uses his very good jump hook… Teams are really sitting on that left shoulder and his counter move or finish left handed is a work in progress… Minnesale is at the right level of competition right now..

He is athletic, tough and quick but not sure how his game would translate to a Power 5 school.. I thought the same about Andrew Rohde he has had struggles although he has a roll with Wisconsin happy for him..

I am not saying Minnesale will stay someone will throw some money.. Blue left got $400k and doesn’t play… except garbage time..
 

If St. Thomas keeps winning and getting good players (which they will), this will be commonplace every offseason and something the staff will have to (and already has) deal with. It beats the alternative of having players nobody (bigger schools) wants.

Interesting point you made about Kendall Blue. I catch myself wondering what he's thinking in terms of taking the money but not getting any meaningful PT, as opposed to Miles Barnstable, who I assume got a decent chunk of change, and is a leading man for a rejuvenated Tulsa program. They're both playing for teams that may end up in the NCAA Tournament, but I would imagine Barnstable is having a lot less second thoughts (if any) than Blue.

For sure. I'm in the camp it was a great idea to schedule the Johnnies. Even with the new arena attendance especially during non-conference play is an issue. That won't be a problem tonight.
