Shooter: 92+% season tickets renewal for football; 1,650 new season tickets sold

And this, of course is another BELL WEATHER "...state of the state..." of the...

So then 250 people would be watching out there rather than 200?

Football Program's oveall condition as well as a strong indication of the effectiveness of the current administration's ability to get off dead-center and sell the Gopher Football Program to the public and to corporate Minnesota, not to even mention the STUDENTS. Two years into our new Norwood's tenure and it would appear that he is in "do-nothing" territory re: his ability to infuse interest in Football at the U of M.

You can't ignore the numbers. The numbers will always indicate the general direction of the progress...or lack of progress by the administration as an effective administration. In the business world, the CEO of such a marketing effort would be in serious trouble. Certainly our new Norwood would be the person in charge of marketing the Football Program to the local community.

Get to work Norwood. This is a direct reflection on what is happening and what has happened since you came strolling in from Richmond. What do you have your former VCU people doing in regard to GAME DAY sales Norwood? Coach Kill and his staff are held accountable for the ability of the program to compete within the conference. As AD: our new Norwood and his staff are in charge of the Game Day Environment AND ticket sales. It is Norwood's job to put butts in the seats at our beautiful TCF BANK STADIUM. It is up to Prexy K to insure that our new Norwood is doing his job...What the heck is our new Norwood doing over there any way? After all, in addition to his VCU transplants that he brought here...he has also had Joel, the former ad at his disposal...

"Why is the UNLV game starting at 6 pm? Thats 4 pm UNLV time on a Thursday.

Seems that 7 or 7:30 would have made more sense for us and them.

"Out there" was referring to people watching in Las Vegas.

Vegas doesn't have clocks. So they could play at 2 AM and UNLV wouldn't know the difference.

On the flip side, it's impressive that there are ~28,000 people who care enough about Gopher Football so much that they're willing to buy tickets at likely higher prices than what they could pay cumulatively through deals and scalping.
With home games against Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska I doubt this is true. You could sell each for the cost of the whole season.

I'm surprised that the numbers don't fluctuate more based on that. It's a pretty big flaw in the current scheduling system.

You can help sell tickets by inviting more friends and family to games.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll do my part to be a better supporter of Gopher Football and magically convince my friends and family who haven't decided to buy tickets to TCF Bank Stadium since 2009 to do so out of the blue.

11 days until kickoff and not even a scent of some type of promotion. Woody, you get a big fat " F "
