Gophers running back Shannon Brooks was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday, marking the second time this season he's won that award.
Brooks rushed for 86 yards on 14 carries (6.1 average) against Iowa and threw his first career touchdown pass, a 42-yarder to Drew Wolitarsky in the fourth quarter.
Brooks also was named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week on Oct. 12, after his big performance against Purdue.
