Shama: Too Many Problems with Gophers Basketball

Fair enough. I guess it's hard to take anything from his serious when the only thing I've read of his was absolutely terrible. I don't know whether he actually had any inside info, but the Shama article doesn't say anything about having any. All he did was ask a question since he decided to jump on the Tubby sucks bandwagon. Sounds like speculation. No reason to put the pitchforks away. Also, after all these close wins for Ohio State, I wonder when we're going to see Mackey's article about them not being contenders. Awkward win after awkward win proves they aren't contenders.

Mackey mentioned the Carter thing on air with Reusse the other day. I never said anything about his blog.

First off, I don't consider the transfers to be that big of a deal, not something where I'm all ready to do deep investigation or something. Devoe and Cobbs just didn't feel like they were gettin the burn and touches they wanted. Oh well, you move on. Royce White...well we all knew he was a risk, but that was a no-win situation if I ever saw one. If Tubby leaves him alone, yeah you'd have a chunk that would applaud Tubby for not pursuing the trouble-maker, but you'd have a vast amount of people ripping him for not getting the best player in the state. Paul Carter, people keep wanting to speculate, but all we can do is take him at his word, which is that he transferred to be close to his sister, that's it. If you wanna dig deeper, go ahead, but don't just sit there and throw it out there with no base to it.

I think initially Tubby felt he had to recruit some star power to his roster to get this program going, and I think in many ways, that blew up in his face. You've noticed the last couple of years, he's put a lot of focus on high character guys as well as high talent. And I think going forward, that's gonna work out great for him and you will see the amount of distractions take a heavy decrease in the years to come.

Right On!!
