They used to take lowly power conference teams (usually with a losing records) but I don't think they've had one in some time.

The College Basketball Crown took teams with losing records from the three conferences (Big East, B12, B10) last season. They took three or four teams outside of those conferences but they didn't have losing records as I remember.
