Shadeur Sanders

Don't really put taking a chance on a guy like Moss who made some dumb choices in the same class as the Coach Prime traveling circus that is going to follow Shaeur and Shilo to the NFL. I view it a lot like all the crap around Lavar Ball on the basketball side. Kids are talented....but the drama and other crap just isn't worth it.
No offense towards @STPGopher but I think this is a better analogy.

The only risk would be in drafting him, where Deion sounds like he might try to block certain franchises from picking him, based on weather and reputation. For example, the Browns may be in the QB market and picking high and I could see him causing a circus with that. Vikings are indoors and have a very good recent reputation as being well-run, but won't be in the market for him.
You made me think - the only 2 QBs who have done that both went on to win 2 Super Bowls.

True. I'm doubtful Sanders has that kind of leverage. Elway's talent was a whole different level. Eli Manning was perceived to be at Peyton's level coming out of college.

Regardless, the circus will follow Sanders.

Yes and no. He had ZERO touch. Much like Joe Gillium (sp?).

Where's this circus at? I haven't seen it. I don't hear that much about Shedeur Sanders. He's not the college football player I hear the most about this season, or even the most prominent guy on his own team - his father and Travis Hunter are.

There have been far more hyped QBs in the past who got far more attention. Tim Tebow had more of a circus around him than Shedeur. So did Johnny Football and several recent #1 overall guys.

He might create a circus around draft time trying to pick where he goes, but after that he's just another rookie QB who people are going to exalt or sour quickly on based on his performance.

Shadeur and Deion absolutely have a circus around them if you follow any kind of college football media entertainment. It's Colorado/Sanders every day.

I didn't see the edge of the couch this morning.

It was still there.

Huh? All that was around Tebow were questions of whether his game and mechanics would translate to the NFL - passion on both sides of the argument.

I find Tebow to be an outstanding man and nothing at all like a circus.

I didn't say Tebow was a circus. I said the media attention around him was a circus. Remember "Tebowmania?"

Would you draft Milroe ahead of him?
No. But (and I admit I don't scout for a living) from what I've seen of all the top-tier QBs that either will be or may be in the 2025 draft, I don't see any of them as a Top-10 pick. Deion's interference in the process may actually hurt Shadeur as he's not in the class of either Manning or Elway when it comes to QB play. If there isn't a discernable difference between him and others, why would any team want to put up with Deion.

I just watch the games now (and even they are staring to look like UFC bouts) and tune out all the rest of it. Players--especially the more recognizable ones--are turning themselves into commodities. I'm old and that's the way it is, but it sure has taken a lot of romance out of the game.

I have no doubt Shadeur in particular will be a really high draft pick for somebody next year. Hell, he might even end up being a really good player but the bust potential is also really high and thankfully the Vikings aren't likely to spend a high pick on another QB so they should be clear.
Doesn't he have one more year potentially? I see Deion funneling him to the "right" team and telling others to stay away.
