Seantrel cuts Minnesota and Iowa?

If he can't count to five, he might as well cross any Big Ten school and Notre Dame off the list.

Fast forward to next week's interview when he's considering Minnesota and then New Year's Day when he lists his top three and Minnesota isn't there and then the next week he'll be seen walking around in a Gopher hat and then he'll be seen in the halls at CDH in his Hawkeye overalls the day before signing day.

Does it really matter right now? Who cares?!!! Nothing is said and done until he signs the dotted line. Everybody on here is trying to be professional interpreters when in reality, he doesn't seem to have made up his mind about anything, yet so many people on here seem to have done so on his behalf.

Lets see what happens on signing day.

You obviously didn't listen to it, he listed the first four and then said something along the lines of "then I have to decide who to visit between Miami and Oklahoma" (implying that whomever he chooses to visit between those two, would be the fifth).

Wasnt it mentioned in another thread that he cancelled his trip to Florida?

Per GopherLady is was more postponed than fully canceled. He's still going down there just not this past weekend when he had a bball tourney to play in.

Some of you guys actually think he would pick a mid to bottom level Big 10 team?

Why would he go to MN or IA and play subpar competition in the Big 10 when he can play with the big dogs?

I'm not familiar with this radio broadcast - what date is this from? My interview was from Saturday night, 3 days ago, and he certainly said MN and Iowa were in the mix. Honestly - I think he has to rattle off these schools so often, you miss some. It was not solicited, and both he and his parents listed 8 schools on Saturday.

Exactly! Even as a person that checks in with these kids and interviews them...take everything for what it's worth. Things change, coaches change, people change. Quite honestly, I think if he had made up his mind 100%, he would have announced by now, just to get his life back and not be hounded by media. I think that's one of the reasons Bryce McNeal committed to Michigan so early last year, he just wanted this to be done. I think it's fun at 1st - and that's for a normal kid, not a #1 in the nation kid, then it gets to just be so much. TCF - we hold the same opinion on recruiting, I don't get excited until signing day, nothing really matters up until that point...and then they still have to qualify!

As of 3 days ago, they postponed it, and planned to go to Florida this weekend for their visit.

He has never considered Purdue. He also took Michigan off his list.

I believe Purdue finished ahead of the Gophers this year in the Big Ten standings :D

I sure hope this scenario turns out better for the Gophers than it did for ISU recently. (the No. 1 bball recruit in the nation this year is from Ames, IA. Needless to say, he didn't pick Iowa State).

Best of luck to you!

Because the Big Ten is as big as it gets. Bigger schools, bigger stadiums, more television exposure, the best bowl tie-ins.

The only conference that has been able to compete with the Big Ten, over the long term, is the SEC. And that's why the Big Ten plays them in all the most important bowl games.

On top of playing against Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Iowa, and Wisconsin recruits in this year's class will get to play against USC and North Carolina and probably a couple of SEC opponents in bowl games.

ignore this guy. he is only five posts in and it is already obvious he is a troll.

I interpreted it at list your 5 schools, which he then lists 4 and states that he is trying to decide on the last two to visit. Not positive, but not surprising too either. :(

He has been cutting so much someone might think he is emo

After reading the new SH article, I think it sounds like USC > OSU > UM ... with ND a wildcard. He really wants the city-campus, not the small town. He has a legitimate gripe against all three, but ours was our inconsistency. Had we finished better, we may have landed him. We'll see.

EDIT: I see Miami is now his last official. USC/Miami seems most likely to me.

yeah, which would mean he has cut it down to six.
