Sean "Diddy" Combs arrested at UCLA athletic center for assault with kettlebell

per ESPN:

Hip-hop music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested Monday afternoon on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles, where his son is on the football team, police said.

Diddy, 45, was arrested at UCLA's Acosta Athletic Training Complex on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon shortly after 12:30 p.m., according to a statement from campus police.

The deadly weapon was a kettlebell, which is used by athletes in weight training.

No one was seriously injured and campus police are investigating. Officials did not identify the victim of the assault, or say what led to it.

Combs' son Justin Combs is a redshirt junior defensive back on the UCLA football team, which has been conducting workouts on campus.

Craig James and him should get their own reality show.

per LBS:

Former UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel recruited Justin Combs, the son of Sean Combs, back in 2011. On Tuesday, Neuheisel admitted that his recruitment of Combs had plenty to do with the fact that his dad is music mogul P. Diddy.

While co-hosting his show on Sirius XM College Sports Nation, Neuheisel said he was thinking about the UCLA program as a whole in addition to what Combs could bring as a player.

“When you’re weighing the assets of what a youngster can do for your program, there’s no question (being Diddy’s son) had something to do with it for me,” he explained, per Chris Vannini of CoachingSearch.com. “Justin is a great kid. His problem was his size. He’s not big enough to be a dominant player. Could he be productive? Yes. The fact his father was an influential guy played into my decision to go ahead and offer him.”
