There, I said it. And, yes, I'm one of those annoying egomaniacs that had to start his own thread to comment on this.

Just got to watch the press conference, and I'm on board. He seems to be everything that idiot Brewster was not.

Keeping my season tickets. Keeping hope alive.

Maturi is still an idiot, but he just may well turn out to not be quite as big of one as we all think when we look back on this in a few years.

I hope he signs a kicker by the end of the week. And his D coordinator better be coming too. I don't even want to consider the possibility of Cosgrove worming his way in.
 

Yep. I went from skeptical this afternoon to wholly supportive now. Really can't say enough about how he handled that press conference. Just an absolute HR. I bet he's just chomping at the bit to implement his offense with BT players. Gray is going to be an effing beast.

Since I'm posting this in basically every thread in the board, I guess I should have started my own thread. :)
 

Not ripping on anybody because I have mirrored the 180 degree turn, but it's amazing how the tone has changed over the last 24 hours. It has gone from Armageddon to Woodstock!
 


I said it last night in a thread...

He is a husky, mustacheod guy name Kill who likes to run the football and play defense. He was born to be a Big 10 coach.
 

Very impressive press conference and I'm betting on him. Goldy will be doing his gig at a major bowl in 3 years.

I've seen coaches who were substantive over style before. I will be guardedly optimistic about this until the season begins because the number of W's vs L's is the only stat or substance that I care about.

That would be me, Bayfield. Kill had me at "I wasn't my wife's 1st or 2nd choice, either". Very easy guy to root for...and I will! If he's good enough for Bob_Loblaw then he's good enough for me. I still hate Maturi, though. :)
