I'm not counting anybody out; if I was, it certainly wouldn't be Northwestern. In my eyes Fitzgerald is an awfully good coach.

Nebraska has a tough row to hoe, but I still recall how we were all talking about how improved they have looked this season. If nothing else, I posted their schedule because they can play the role of spoiler in the West going forward.

To me, the Gophers should absolutely NOT do what I'm doing here. They should focus on Maryland, and no one else.

Schedules of people that don’t have 4 losses in big ten:

minnesota:
Maryland
@northwestern
Illinois
@iowa
@indiana
Wisconsin

Iowa:
Bye
@wisconsin
@northwestern
Minnesota
Illinois
@nebraska

Purdue:
Wisconsin
@nebraska
Michigan state
@ohio state
@northwestern
Indiana

Northwestern:
@ michigan
Minnesota
Iowa
@wisconsin
Purdue
@illinois

Wisconsin:
@purdue
Iowa
@rutgers
Northwestern
Wisconsin
@Minnesota

I’d say we really want Purdue to beat wisconsin so that wisconsin can beat Iowa

Nebraska is probably mathematically eliminated, or can only win the West on a crazy tiebreaker with about .0000001% chance of happening.

I would have to do some calculating but the problem with Nebraska’s path to the title is everyone needs to get to 4+ losses and that probably involves Illinois winning games.

And it involves Nebraska winning out LOL

Nebraska isn't beating Iowa or Wisconsin, let alone both of them. Also, I'm pretty skeptical of MN winning 5 of their last 6. It's been 30 years since I've seen a horrible WI team, so until I see it I'm not counting on it. Even with their clunker yesterday I still view Iowa as the cream of the West Division, even though I think they're still overrated at #11.

Minnesota has every ability to win all of their games, but the bipolar rollercoaster they're on has me wincing a bit. I see improvement in all 3 phases, but I just can't make myself trust that they'll "bring it" every week yet. I need to see more

How did Nebraska get two Bye Weeks?

The Gophers cannot afford to take any remaining teams for granted.

Like in 2019, every game starts a 0-0 bowl game.

They played 0 week and were 0-1 before the gophers played game 1

WI's defense will keep them in most games but the OL's and QB's play are mediocre to bad.
WI needs a new OL coach and a new QB coach.
Unless there are some miracle turn arounds in the upcoming games both should become redundant.

Nebraska has a really tough schedule going forward, and they have to be feeling a bit demoralized.

As we watch how they finish this season, it will show us a lot about Frost and his team.

Call me overly-optimistic, by I'm hoping the Gophers will simply take charge from here on out. No hoping and praying and depending on someone else to lose; I want them to beat the teams on their schedule, one by one. Then we can all watch and cheer as they hoist the B1G West trophy at home, along with the Axe, after the Wisconsin game.

I’m more curious about the Wisconsin v Wisconsin game down the line 😉

Iowa's schedule doesn't look that easy. They often have trouble with Northwestern The rest are rivalry games, although Illinois should be an easy win.

"If Purdue wins out they have the tie breaker over Iowa"

Yes, and if Minnesota wins out the Gophers would have the tiebreaker over both Purdue and Iowa.

Whoops! Let me think... I can explain...

Oh, um... Wisconsin scheduled a second spring game really, really late. Yeah. That's it. :mad::p:mad::cautious:
