Once, I got a 24' moving truck with my car towed behind it stuck on the hilly, icy entrance to a KFC in Iowa City in December, while moving from Denver to Chicago. I couldn't get up the hill, but also could not back the approximately 45-50' total rig up, as it was into several lanes of traffic. Foot on the brake for survival.

An Iowa City cop came along and blocked traffic with his squad car for me. I still wasn't able to get the rental truck to do what I wanted, so the cop hopped in the cab to try and was attacked by my cat. Finally we got the truck off the hill, but I never got the KFC after all that.

I'm both praising the cops and Iowa City so he was a nice dude.

Oh wait I thought of a real one: Breaded pork loin sandwich. If you have a hyvee nearby, go to the deli and order one, with a big gallop of mashed potatoes and gravy. It sounds cheap and trashy, and maybe I am too, but it's good stuff.

There's a 14-foot tall statue of Floyd of Rosedale about a mile from where I live in Fort Dodge. I run by it all the time in the summer. Floyd came from a farm in Fort Dodge, which is now the location of an aquatic center (that you can kind of see in the background of the picture).
