San Fran already has losses @ Boise State by 5, and @ Grand Canyon by 4

useless centers formerly of washington state for $200 Alex

SF has an interesting international roster and looking forward to watching mongolia mike

He's an odd player: a 6'9" guy who is known mostly for his passing.

USF is a good squad and could cause matchup problems on both ends of the court. Their best ball handler is 6-foot-8 sophomore point guard Mike Sharavjamts so Hawkins likely won't start. Will see more of Christie and Mitchell and not surprised to see Christie start. Report elsewhere said Carrington has a bad right hand so hope he can go and guard Sharavjamts. Payne and Garcia need to have big games as Mogbo is good. USF has caused a lot of turnovers with their D.

IMO, this will take the Gophers best effort to get a W.

San Fran is a pretty decent WCC team with tourney appearances the past two years. Boise State is one of the three best MWC teams.....also making the tournament the past two years. Grand Canyon is a rising WAC team that has made the tournament two of the past three years including this past year.

Doesn't surprise me at all that the Gophers are slight underdogs.

A team that's going to win 8 + B1G games wouldn't be underdogs though.

Well- Hawkins started and Christie looked like Bambi out there.

Remember all the off-season discussion/paranoia that CBJ was going to use Christie as a PG/primary ball handler even though the evidence we had indicated he wasn’t? Well, it appears the paranoia was warranted and spot-on. If CBJ wants to throw him out there in that role when the game is out of hand to get some experience, great. But if the game is anywhere near close, you can’t put him in that position. The fact that CBJ sees him in practice every day (and plenty of his HS tape) and should know better. But nope.
