Safety Reminder: Be careful rushing the court on raised floor after big win tonight

After we knock off #1 Indiana tonight, we want to remind students and fans to be patient when rushing the court. The temptation will be to get up on the court as quickly as you can, but the raised court can create some challenges. So please be patient, don't push and always keep an eye out for people struggling to get up, or in distress for any reason. Tonight will be a magical night, we want to make sure the post-game celebration is safe and fun.

Which GopherHoler's are pledging to rush the court? We can have a tentative GopherHole meeting spot at the free throw line on the Gophers bench end of the court.
 



Someone open the roof at the end of the game so I can make my appearance.

 

Would love to see it, but the only way we rush the court is if the folks from Minnesota State Lottery throw a bunch of freebee's on the court.
 


Hey, don't get people TOO excited or they might accidentally rush the court after Goldy beats the hamburger and fries to the finish line.
 

My plan for rushing the court is this: Get up from my lazy boy, jump an inch or two in the air while yelling "yippee", slowly limp to the fridge for a cold beer, come back to GopherHole and read 5,426 new threads about the big win.

Hey Doc... don't forget about the numerous posts about how the victory only hurts our future and solidifies more years under Tubby.
 

The fact that this is a thread brings a smile to my face. A few weeks of disappointment will be close to forgotten with a huge win tonight.
 



I love that this is a thread! If we win there's no question I'm on the court ASAP.

I'm up from Indiana for the game tonight and have a special request. My wife, a Hoosiers fan, will be there, too. After IU knocked off KY last year I remember hearing of a KY fan being knocked down by fans rushing the court. Since I won't be able to protect her, (I will be rushing) please be careful if you're charging from the upper rows in Section 108.

Also, please pray for me if the Gophers pull it off. It will make for a long trip back to Indiana. I will have to gloat internally.

My wife just read this and said "Whatever".
 

I'm calling it now - we upset the #1 team in the country tonight and the fans do storm the court!

I can honestly say I was scared for my life as I went down those 16 rows of bleachers in the mob that was the student section. I give credit to my low center of gravity as the reason that I am still alive.
 

OK - admit it, a few of you thought we were joking with this thread earlier today!! But good job all, a very quick, efficient, safe and celebratory court rush!
