Darcy Pohland passed away last night.

She was a sweet lady...i remember getting interviewed after a football game by her...very sweet and huge Gopher fan. She will be missed.

I remember how happy she was that the Gophers were back on campus, especially the morning of the opener as she was reporting from the stadium.

Darcy Pohland was the type of fan the U needs more of. I can still remember how excited she was with TCF Bank stadium. She did a live report from the stadium nearly every night for a week leading up to the first game.

Darcy was by far the nicest person I worked with at WCCO. And she loved the Gophers. I don't remember many days where we didn't talk about our Gophers at some point during the day. A lot of times when people die others will talk about how great of a person he/she was. You know not everyone is a great person who touched lives.

But with Darcy everyone who knew her can honestly say without a doubt she was a great person who had a positive impact on so many people's lives. She will be missed.

I thought it was very classy to honor Darcy during all of the Football Rally show after the news since she was such a big hometown sports fan.

Oh wow - I hadn't heard about this. So sorry, what a huge loss. I can't say I knew her well, but her energy and enthusiasm was contagious. My deepest condolences to her friends and family, she will be dearly missed.

My last memory of Darcy was during the TCF Bank tour - where I snapped this photo of her that she loved and I passed along to her - this is how I remember her.
