Coach Prime model will now be attempted by AD's all looking to revive their program.

Go Gophers!!

$50M in NIL would be over twice what Texas or Ohio State reportedly had last year, unless that's spread out of a period of years.

$50M will also be a quaint NIL budget for CFP-level competitors in a few years. I used to think we would see our first $100M payroll in college football before 2030, now I think it's 2027-28 based on the even more prominent and unchecked oligarchy we're likely to see in the coming years.

It's also highly misleading out there right now, re:Vick, because sources are reporting both Norfolk State and Sacramento State. Vick has ties to the Norfolk, VA area.

So he is currently an analyst for Fox Sports with no coaching experience and teams are trying to land him as their head coach? Guess it fits with the craziness of the current college football landscape.....why not?

College football startups without much history have to raise capital and recruit employees ;)

Schools (brands) are trying the celebrity pitchman approach. The bigger the hype they can create in a crowded market, the better.

They raised 35 million of NIL in a single day following their FBS/new stadium plan announcement, have 57 million committed, and are now targeting 75 million. 😲

Timeframe for that money is still key. 60's guy's post mentions it being over a 10 year period.

MIchael Vick goes coast-to-coast on the rumor mill and accepts the head coaching job at Norfolk State (VA). He is a Virginia native, so it makes a lot of sense. School mascot is a Spartan, but Norfolk State is in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference along with the South Carolina State Bulldogs. Insert your own jocular observations.
