Rutgers has more bowl wins over the last 20 years (6) than Michigan (5).

Here's why that stat is meaningless. I'd rather lose the Rose Bowl to Oregon than win the Motor City Bowl over Southwest Michigan State Community College any day of the week.

Also, if Rutgers played the same opponents as Michigan, they almost certainly would have lost all of them.

Yeah well if you eek into bowls... you get lighter competition.

Michigan gets tough match ups because of their name including this year. Alabama is arguably the 2nd best SEC team. Michigan might be the 5th best Big Ten team this year.

On paper, if Rutgers was somehow able to just even keep the top 10 players in NJ each year ... they should be very competitive in the Big Ten.

Don't know if that will ever happen. But $50M a year from the Big Ten should help build some great facilities and sign great coaches.

Rutgers facilities for all sports were historically terrible. I hear they've been doing some upgrades, but they were a long way behind.

i still like that Minnesota and Iowa are undefeated against Auburn, Alabama and Clemson in their histories. (thanks bros)

Hey now. Dont go talking bad about Bowl quality. We are the only 2 time winners of the Quick Lane bowl (formerly Motor City).

Even though ‘We Hate Iowa’, I like that we have this in common, because I hate the SEC more!!

And Minnesota and Iowa are the only Big Ten teams who stomped their blue blood opponents in this year’s bowl games.

(ha maybe...too lazy to look it up but the BIG lost a bunch of games)
