Getting lost in all the talk about TJ's amazing game is the game Mo played today.

20 carries - 140 yards - 1 TD

Above and beyond that, he had many huge runs at key moments. He moved the pile on his own a number of times and showed some nice burst as well. He looked good in 2018 when he had to be the man due to injuries and although he took a back seat to Smith and Brooks some this year, I feel very confident with him being the feature back in 2020.

Very excited to see what he can do next year in a feature role again. I am sure we will still split carries some, and would be great to have a speed guy to provide a change of pace, but I expect big things from Mo next year. Smith was a very good RB but there is something special about Mo, and I think we are going to be in great shape at the RB position with him shouldering the bulk of the load.

I was just thinking about this. What a great game for Mo and the offensive line!

He runs so hard. He should have a great season next year.

Anyone hear why Brooks didn’t play?

Low center of gravity, slippery, great balance, quick through the hole, a beast to bring down. He’s also a very good pass blocker. He’s our best RB, with all due respect to Rodney.

I am most interested in who is getting the additional carries. Wiley? Williams? Does Thomas get a crack? Will be interesting to see, but agree Mo is a great person to take the bulk of the carries

Going to assume Mo gets the most carries but I think PJ has always been a spread out the RB reps guy. I could see something like this year, 220 for mo, 100 for Wiley 100 combined for Thomas/ Williamson. But yes, with a stacked WR core, exp QB and 100% of our line returning I think Mo has a great shot for a big year

man how nice is it to have this guy in waiting after losing Smith and Brooks!

Thomas, Wiley, Potts, Williams, Williamson. We need 2 of those 5 to be able to handle duties when called on as well. it was so nice this past year to have 3 guys to mix in and give different looks. and also to keep guys a little fresher. so im hoping we can do that next year as well.

Another thing I like is he beats the shit out of the defenders when they tackle him.

this is because he often breaks through to the secondary. Those poor 190lb dbs don’t stand a chance.

By the end of the game, I think this abuse translates into a more productive passing game. It’s difficult to chase down Tj or Bateman if you’re playing on crutches.

Former coach Mason says "you need a pair and spare". Mo seems an obvious No 1, but not sure about the pair and spare.

A couple of the younger guys will need to step up to take some carries. Mo runs so hard that he gets dinged up now and then. His fresh legs showed against Auburn. He has definitely turned into a stud in both running and blocking.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Williamson.

From what I hear, he was really impressive pre-injury at RB, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him stick there. That said, the staff seems to like Potts and Wiley and Ky Thomas is aboard now.
