The slow delayed hand off has aged like mold. Our OL is blown up by the time our RB gets the ball and starts forward. Can we just get a quick hitter, let them hit the hole with some momentum instead of flat footed?
Our run game, vs. Mason's run game (for example) essentially gives the defense an extra second to react.I don't fully understand the running game like I would like to.
Still seemed like we caught Penn St. often enough that the run game worked.
We have an amazing RB, and 80% of his carries are with 5 guys all over him.I dunno, I give the game plan today and the execution a high grade as they moved the ball on the ground and in the air against a top 10 defense in the country. The offensive line played much better today.
Mason had outstanding OLs at times but he wasn't a run game genius or anything...Our run game, vs. Mason's run game (for example) essentially gives the defense an extra second to react.
Would be different if we had a QB run threat,
