Root for Iowa this week?

I'm officially torn. I hate all things Iowa and wish them nothing but the worst all the time, but this week, I might have to root for the Hogeyes so a possible three-way tie in the Big Ten can be avoided and Sparty will have full control of its destiny for Pasadena.

Is it acceptable to root for the pig f-ing SOB's to the south so that they can screw over the deer carcass-raping SOB's to the east?

I also like the idea of Iowa's season completely falling apart, and having them limp into TCF against a well-rested and suddenly inspired Gophers squad playing their season finale.

Torn.

Not me. I love to see Iowa lose. Although I hate Wisconsin more, due to hockey. But Wisconsin has Northwestern and Michigan left. There have been a few head scratching losses to Michigan by very good Wisconsin teams, so I'm hoping they get lit up for 60 by the Wolverines this week. I don't much care about Ohio St either way...
 


Can't do it. Can only do it if they are playing Wisc.
 

I have a lot of faith that wisky will blow it on their own. Neither team will need help having their season implode on them.

Go Buckeyes. Go Wolverines.
 


I'm with Mr. Gopher I'd rather Wisky blew their season on their own. That would allow me to root against Iowa all day long next saturday.
 

Whatever the outcome, I just want Iowa to come out of their game with tOSU demoralized, exhausted and banged up. We're making the 800 mile drive next week to see the battle for Floyd and I'd love to see a win.
 

steadfast rule in my household

- Be kind to each other
- Turn off tv when eating a meal as a family
- Always root against Iowa and Wisconsin unless one of said team's wins benefits the maroon and gold. Then and only then may you begrudgingly root for an Iowa or Wisconsin. But you must do with a steely resolve never to do it again unless absolutely needed.

For the sake of this weekend's game I'd root for the evil that Rich Rod is over Bucky.
 

Sparty wins out they get Rose Bowl bid I believe. They beat Wisconsin and do not play Ohio State.

Nope.

If it is a three way tie, it goes to the team with the highest BCS ranking. If it is a tie between Wisconsin and MSU, MSU gets it as a result of their head-to-head victory.

In the event of a three-way tie, the tiebreaker is BCS ranking. Wisconsin is 7th, Ohio State is 9th, Michigan State is 12th.

I will, of course, be rooting for Dick Rod and the Skunkbears early in the day, but if Sconnie wins, man...I really don't want to root for Iowa.
 

I've read other threads where posters have said to root for OSU to roll Iowa, break their spirit a bit & we'll catch them reeling from their azz kicking. Me, just the opposite! I hope Iowa narrowly beats OSU in a bruising slugfest. A trip to Minnesota the next week to play the 2-9 Gophers would be hard to "get up for" mentally & we might catch them with a hangover.
 

Ummm, no. I won't be happy till the Pigeyes leave TCF with our goal posts inserted firmly and deeply up their collective arse. That would be shortly after the Gophers inflict a sound and deflating thrashing similar to the 55-0 beat down we suffered at their hands. Until that time I can't pull for these classless idiots. For some reason I find Becky fans less irritating but that's just me.
