We're heading down to Evanston right now to catch a bite at Blue Stone, stop by if you're around! Always like to meet GHers, as long as you're not the creepy ones (fyi - if you have to think about if you're creepy or not, you probably are, haha)!

GL..I do not have to even think about it. You have previously referred to me as being a creepy one, so I guess I do not get to stop by. Bummer! :drink:

In addition, GL, is there a Walmart close by? I need to buy some more wallets.

Leaving in a bit myself. It's a beautiful sunny day here in Chicago.

Myself and a few alum buddies were there. Sec 211, row TT. I've been to Welsh-Ryan a few times now, and every time I forget how hot it gets up there in the rafters. Didn't get a chance to get over to the Bluestone, but I was there last year when they were passing out Tubby bandanas/homer hankies. Nice place close to the stadium.

If there was ever a place where you don't get abused by the visiting fans after a loss, its NU.

Did anybody see that guy get ejected from the game after the Hightower call that had the whole place up in arms? It was funny to me that Wildcat fans weren't that familiar with being 'Hightowered'...

That guy who got ejected

Hi there, GopherHole. I'm that guy who got ejected yesterday, and it wasn't by Hightower, but by his partner in crime, Curtis Shaw. Apparently ol' Shaw is a bit sensitive to his crappy officiating, and decided to be the big man and toss me out with a minute to go when he validated my criticisms by turning to me instead of pretending I didn't exist, like Hightower did.

In any event, nice effort by your students to organize and get a section up top. Unfortunately, the fans at the top can't really be heard on the court, so it was a bit in vain, but for a while there were more Gopher students than NU students.

Now, please win games to end the season so our victory yesterday becomes more valuable. Thanks!

Ah, that's why I thought Hightower ejected ya Cappy - he turned his back to you and appeared to not want to watch security deal with you.

At any rate, behave yourself the rest of the year - getting the boot multiple times probably isn't a real good idea.

Oh, and for the record, last years Gopher student contingent that went to the game shouted down the NU student section all game, mocked their tie-die t-shirts, and made sure that it was clear that we couldn't hear THEM over our own cheering. Good to see the home town interest in Wildcat basketball is up from last year.
