Rodney

I agree Chip has the athleticm to be a good defender he just needs to play and learn from his mistakes. He is essential on the offensive end. He will not miss that many layups on a regular basis.

Make Rodney come off the bench and be aggressive. Drive into the lane, jump stop, shoot an 8 footer just over the rim. If he did this with confidence very few big ten players could defend it.

Chip, Blake, Hollins, Trevor and Ralph.

Mix it up Tubby, Rodney is a liability right now.

But hey...he's the best athlete in the B10....whatever that's supposed to mean.....

Yeah, the definition of "athletic" is oh-so-confusing....

But wait....Badger Vandelay has no problem using that term for other team's players....

"Yes, Virginia is bad too but they at least have athletes. Cornell would have trouble beating the guys I saw playing at the gym tonight.... " http://www.forums.gopherhole.com/boards/showthread.php?t=24034

...Art only has a problem with it when Minnesota players are called athletic.

Confidence

Rodney has two more years to prove he can shoot, right now he has zero confidence in his shot and doesn't seem to know what to do with the ball when he drives. He has to come of the bench and work on his shot this summer.

He is good in transition, but without a point guard our offense just stands around and the defense blankets each player. Simple basketball 101 is to drive around your player if he is guarding you that tight. Unfortunately Blake and Rodney cannot do that so we need to replace one of them with someone who can get around a tight defender.

Chip didn't make all of his layups last night but when he drives it give us a chance for an open shot. Four players standing stationary trying to lob the ball in the middle is not an offense. At least not an offense that is working right now.
