I like it. First Gophers to even participate in the event since Vince Grier in that epic '06 slam dunk contest if I'm not mistaken. Looking forward to it!
 




Good to see Rodney was selected as he should have been, can't wait to see Rodney showcase his skills!

Is this Rodney Williams a coaching candidate of some kind? I am confused?
 

They should play "One Shining Moment" for him because it will be the last you ever hear of Rodney Williams in relation to basketball.
 







Yep, typical Rodney display from what I saw of him this year...no chance of winning so be a quitter.

I guess I didn't get the memo. We're hating on Rodney now? The kid who improved all four years (despite having a slow end of the season this year)? The kid who didn't get in a lick of trouble in his four years here? The kid who was a team leader and did absolutely everything he was asked?

I guess I just don't see the reason for hating him because he didn't participate in a damn dunk contest.

I'm with you. Rodney was a blast to watch all four years.
 


People get angry when a player with so much "potential" doesn't meet expectations. The best is when people assume he just didn't work on his shot and ball handling enough. Surely he would've met expectations if he just shot nonstop all summer.
 






Rumors are floating that there is possibly some family health issues that led him to back out. I don't know if that's true, just heard it from the old grape vine.

Well the watercooler talks were waaaaay off! Lol hope he finds basketball success in the future. It will make the U look better to have guys playing professionally
 

Well then, Rodney's agent is a fool. And Rodney's a fool for listening to him.
