per the Rochester Post Bulletin:
Yet as much as he was smiling, Kill remains resolute about one thing. It's that this is no time for contentment. He knows what brought Minnesota from the depths, and he sure doesn't want to veer from it.
"Last year was last year," he said before addressing the Somerby crowd.
"The biggest thing we have to do is keep preparing. That's how we got this far. It starts with getting to work this summer. We've got to go right back to doing what we were when I first got here. The (players) know that."
Kill, who says he's thrilled with the uptick in enthusiasm for Minnesota football — including spotting Gophers garb all around the country — knows his program is still a ways from being a true power.
He doesn't hesitate when identifying which part of Minnesota's game still needs significant improvement.
It's their ability to pass. Minnesota ranked near the bottom in passing efficiency and yards last season.
