Damn. Lost another great musician. Robbie Robertson has died - 80 years old. One of the founding members of "The Band." Underrated guitarist, songwriter, vocalist. Also did some acting and worked on movie soundtracks with Scorsese.

"The Last Waltz" is still one of the best concert movies.

With Robertson's death, Garth Hudson is the last surviving member of The Band.

One of the few instances where I actually felt sad about rifts between musicians was the long standing feud between Levon Helm and Robertson after the breakup of The Band. I was curious if they ever made up and I found a video, referencing Robertson's own words, that RR joined Helm at his bedside in his waning moments of life and for some strange reason, that brings me solace. Such a great collection of talent.
