Rivals vs Scout

I dont know if i have ever seen a player rated higher by scout than rivals. This goes on year after year. Anyone put any light on that?

Haha, first one I thought of. Yeah, it does seem like recruits we get are typically rated higher on Rivals than Scout, and that's even going beyond the whole Rivals star rating inflation, just by pure position rank, it seems like it's the case frequently.
 

Over the last several years, the Gophers' classes have rated much higher on Rivals than Scout. I take it Tim Brewster had a subscription to Rivals.:)

However, Mason may have had a Scout sub. I seem to recall Brandon Owens was a 5 star.

Technically Rivals still rated him higher, as they have him the 17th QB, and Scout has him the 24th best QB, but yeah, stars wise he got 4 from Scout.

Of note, when I clicked the Rivals link, one of the "similar" QBs listed on the right side was one Kellen Moore, listed as the 31st best QB in that class. He turned out alright I guess LOL.
