If you missed the news, the Arena Football League is re-organizing, and one of the teams will be.......
the Minnesota Myth.

The team owner is Diana Hutton. A press release identifies her as a native of Mexico City and an attorney who has worked in Mexico and Minnesota.

BTW - the Commissioner of the new AFL is Twin Cities Attorney Lee Hutton.

In the press release, Diana Hutton announced that Rickey Foggie will be the head coach of the Myth. After playing QB for the Gophers, Foggie had a long career in the old Arena Football League, passing for almost 18,000 yards and 325 TD's.

I can't find a definitive answer on where the team will play. I did see one story claiming "St. Paul."
the press release says there is a team website at www.mnmyth.com - but nothing active yet at that URL.

Other franchises in the Arena Football League - (the names are a hoot)
Philadelphia Soul
Louisiana Voodoo
Nashville Kats
Oregon Blackbears
Iowa Rampage
Wichita Regulators
Salina Liberty'
The Southwest Kansas Storm
Rapid City Marshals
Albany Firebirds
Washington Wolfpack
Orlando Predators
Billings Outlaws &
West Texas Desert Hawks.

Xcel makes sense.

Arena football and indoor lacrosse/soccer need the size of a hockey rink, and Xcel sight lines were built for hockey.

I'm way out of touch. I didn't realize that Foggie played arena football for a long time. I typically ignore arena football.
