What are the chances Fleck's name comes up as a possible replacement?
Pretty solid that his name will come up in pretty much any P5 opening, but I really don't think he'd consider it at all. What are the chances Fleck's name comes up as a possible replacement?

Poor Baylor. Back in the dog house for them.
Waco is a great destination. Ever hear of Chip and Joanna Gaines?I don't see Baylor being a destination job for anyone - especially since they aren't letting their coaches sweep rapes under the rug anymore. I mean, if you can't make a rape go away, what's the point of living in Waco? /s

Were they in the David Koresh cult?
seven-year, $60 million deal with another $10 million in incentives

Jebus....
I feel like Fleck is now at the Chris Peterson (Boise State years) stage where he will be the first, or one of the first coach's mentioned on the wish list by fan bases pretty much any time their program loses or fires its coach. As others have said, we are just going to have to get used to that. Eventually the right thing may come along for Fleck to make a change, but I think this year has taught us he is not looking for the first big paycheck that presents itself, which is good for the Gopher program.
I'm hoping he does become our Alvarez or Hayden Fry, but as we all know - there are no guarantees in the business of college coaching.
I think the negotiations went something like this:Holy cow! The 7-year $60 mill piece alone ($8.6M per year) puts him as one of the top paid NFL coaches and is probably twice the average. No way he's turning that down.

Don't see the level of appeal for this guy. I might be missing something.
Damn! That is serious money.seven-year, $60 million deal with another $10 million in incentives

Whoa, good point. 4 year rebuild at a G5 school followed by a 3 year build to an 11-win season at a P5. He even had a 1 year stint as an NFL assistant if I'm not mistaken.Agreed.
Side note: Rhule has a similar career trajectory as Fleck. In my mind, this deal might be a benchmark for Fleck's future compensation.
