You also say "of course" after Bo Ryan, and while he's done well for sure, he sort of seems to have plateaued. He has four Sweet Sixteen finishes and an Elite Eight finish, as well as three Big Ten titles. Two of those Big Ten titles were in his first two years though, and we all know big accomplishments aren't as impressive when you do them with the previous coach's players. That Elite Eight was eight years ago now, and it just kind of seems like Bo Ryan is good for a given level of success, a Sweet Sixteen, and not much more than that, consistently good, but not great. He also inherited a program that made the tournament the previous three years to his arrival, and only two seasons removed from a Final Four, much better than what Monson and Tubby found when they got here.

Bo has never finished below 4th in the Big Ten in 11(?) seasons. Tubby has never finished above 6th. Let's see how that plays out this year.

pro's: we won a game we didnt deserve to win. EE played great in first half. Oto had a couple of nice assists, one on a pick and roll, Andre 8 ass, 1 turnover.

con's: people playing without passion. not getting trevor the ball in the post. Trevor not rising above the physical play, Rodney for that matter also. The bench not only not scoring but hardly seeing the floor in the second half. I wish someone could step up so we could bench a starter.

I'm actually not sure that we did lead for a majority of the game, I thought we led for most of the first half, and trailed for most of the second. That said, I don't think we ever let Iowa lead by more than 4 or so.

Iowa led for about 12 minutes of the game and never by more than 4.

Iowa played a very good game, except Marble. We played a pretty piss poor game. We are lucky to get the win. In years past the mich st, oh st, would play crappy against us and still eke out wins in the end. I am glad for the win, all teams get a few of these. It just makes me worried heading to Mich St. after playing so bad, or should i say with little passion. We got beat to the loose balls...that is our game!
