Reusse is the single biggest Gopher hater in the media. Even Barreiro looks like a booster next to fat Pat. he gets his jollies watching the U lose. He wasn't happy going all the way back to Salem. I won't give him any credit at all.

Should anyone have been happy about Gopher football, going all the way back to Salem? A couple of seasons af near-mediocrity has been about it.

Don't hold your breath. He's smart enough to realize that his job is to be a journalist not a PR branch for an operation in the midst of 50 years of futility, unlike Sid's legacy of "journalism".

Does kissing Gardy's @ss qualify as "journalism" or does journalism go out the door when you work for the radio station that covers the Twins? If Ruesse was on 830 it would be a different story.

Because there are ZERO sports talk personalities that understand college football in this market. And they're mostly a bunch of old white guys who are big-ol' Viking homers. For most of this search, they were holding out hope that they would be able to cover a Favre super bowl run. Lol.

Now they are big fans of the only coach they know for sure isn't going to happen. And they're asking each other how they missed this. So then they have to repeat that 3-decades old, pleated-pants crowd's mantra: this is a Viking town, the Gophers are irrelevant. We don't need to know anything about college football in Minnesota.
