Makes sense since DeBoer originally recruited him to Washington.Apparently Alabama really wanted him.

You’re right – – neither could’ve played for Us?
I don’t think that matters anymore does it?Is he in the portal? (Or are indications he will be?)
This is impressive as hell. I didn't even consider him despite loving his ability because all reports had the big Dawgs locked in on him. What an absolute steal, and a seriously impressive feat by the staff to get him.
When was the last time we won a recruiting battle with Alabama?Apparently Alabama really wanted him.

I was really excited when we recruited him, but he ended up doing nothing.
Surprising decision...how did we beat out Alabama? USC and UCLA have location advantages.Impressive portal offers!
Tafai has received offers from Minnesota, Alabama (visited), UCLA (visited), Michigan State, North Carolina, Nebraska, USC, Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, San Diego State, Cal, and Kansas.
Fingers crossed but it does seem like a pretty surprising decision based on all the other options.Still weird that Burns hasn’t posted and the player hasn’t either.
What am I missing. He has a whole article on it.Still weird that Burns hasn’t posted and the player hasn’t either.
Interesting because he tweeted about Ray but not KahleeWhat am I missing. He has a whole article on it.
Because there's a tweet that goes to a link that you already responded to in this thread?I can sleep better now
Dang! Would that be cool!! Paired with Taylor we might never lose if he could wiggle his way to 8.3ypc as a Gopher! Fun to consider, if even briefly.Huge pickup! I’m going to go out on a limb and predict a better run blocking group next year. Let’s see if the new RB from Marshall can maintain his 8.3ypc!
UCLA is a dumpster fire. USC isn’t much better. Alabama is returning both starting OT (both SO). As far as the others, they are similar programs and we have a clearer path to PT.Surprising decision...how did we beat out Alabama? USC and UCLA have location advantages.
Turned down NC Belichick and Ruhle and Nebraska. Playoff teams ASU and Boise St. Sheesh.
Impressive sales closing...do we have any money left?
Even in pay for play era, immediate playing time is a significant carrot in the recruiting process. This is impressive as hell. That offensive line is looking pretty good at tackle and center now. Probably three guys starting next year at those positions who will play on Sundays.
To be fair I don't think Daniels was in the portal long enough to Garner interest. Or he knew where he was going and shut everyone else down. I'm still surprised OSU thinks so highly of him, definitely thought they could do betterA push or perhaps a gain. Similar level of experience and time to play. Only an OL coach watching film could really evaluate.
Tafai seemed to have broader high-level interest, while Daniels was an Ohio guy with interest only from Ohio State that we know of.
I think there's a good chance Daniels was willing to transfer to Ohio State and only Ohio State. To be fair I don't think Daniels was in the portal long enough to Garner interest. Does Jackoff Jones approve?Yep! 3 years of eligibility. This could be the guy we need.
It will be very interesting to see who ends up starting at tackles next Fall.
He’s breaking down tape right now, he’ll let us know when he’s ready.Does Jackoff Jones approve?

For him it's a homecoming, and he probably dreamed of playing for OSU as a kid but fell a little short of an offer out of high school. He probably was on their radar, at their camps, and built relationships with their coaches in high school, even without an offer.
I don't think they drove a dump truck of money up to him. We'll see if he starts or if he's looking to transfer back to somewhere like Minnesota in a year or two. He'll have a good chance...starting games on a quality Big Ten team as a true frosh is predictive. Most guys who have done that at Minnesota have ended up in the NFL.
I'm gonna guess no.Does Jackoff Jones approve?
Not sure why you guys respond to it. He lives for that crap.Does Jackoff Jones approve?
