I try to be optimistic that hopefully he can be convinced that we have a QB on the roster or one coming in that can get the ball to him. That could be a huge issue for any incoming WR. There are lots of programs that have a returning quality QB. We aren't one of them.

Elijah Spencer was all conference at Charlotte in 2022 and came here in the same situation as we have right now, Kaliakmanis hadn't been a starter yet and we didn't know how QB was going to shake out. Ended up having a great 2nd year.

Yeah, but he didn't have such a great year when Athan was the QB. After what we just saw from Max, I still think Fleck goes after a QB with a demonstrated history of success instead of relying on an untested redshirt freshman.
