Redmen to play @ Detroit in Dick Vitale dedication game

As much as I can't stomach Vitale's over-the-top schtick, I must admit he's been good for college basketball. A well deserved honor that Detroit will name its court after him.

Not surprised Lavin agreed to have his team take part. Have always liked Lav, except initially when he bawled like a schoolgirl after Gophers ousted his squad in 1997. Lav is a class act.

I'm with you SS, while Dicky V is a terrible analysis, you don't learn much about the game listening to him, but he has been great for the game of COLLEGE basketball. His energy and emotion are great and college basketball is better for it but his shtick and giant man crush on Duke gets old fast.
