Interesting link.

The two things I take from this,

1. You can be a Wisconsin or Iowa (play regularly on January 1 and win your conference once a decade) without becoming a top 25 recruiting school
2. You likely will not play for national championships if you aren't a top 15 recruting school

"Ten schools have at least played for the national title in that span. All but one -- Oregon -- are in the top 13. The Ducks are 19th."

Just to save some time for the idiot.

Yep, good links.

I think it's also important to note that Wisconsin recruits better than people give them credit for. They do often have some diamonds in the rough as well, but they also get some pretty highley rated and sought after kids.

Thanks for posting. I agree with both your points.

I've always thought what Iowa and Wisconsin do is sprinkle in some highly-ranked kids--especially at the skill/impact positions--along with a lot of highly-motivated, teachable kids and have built solid programs as a result. I hope--and more importantly, believe--Kill can follow that model successfully.
