Really it’s 5 returning pass catchers and one pass dropper since you included MBSCrAB
DJack
Dylan Wright
Corey Crooms
Lemeke Brockington
Michael Brown-Stephens
Donielle Hayes
BSF
6 returning pass catchers, with great incoming talent.
All catching balls from Athan.

I’d like Wright to make an impact more often than every 4-5 games before I get excited about him.Need a game changer type. Wright is just too inconsistent for me, to the point I’ve given up on him. Are they in on anyone in the portal?
I think we’re still waiting for Spencer to decide are we not? He would be a nice addition.Need a game changer type. Wright is just too inconsistent for me, to the point I’ve given up on him. Are they in on anyone in the portal?
He’s that guy who looks the part… like really looks the part.I’d like Wright to make an impact more often than every 4-5 games before I get excited about him.

I've never questioned his effort. Consistency, fair game...effort, not so much.Five star ability, one star effort.
Game changer type is at QB. Makes all receivers better.Need a game changer type. Wright is just too inconsistent for me, to the point I’ve given up on him. Are they in on anyone in the portal?

I forget which game but he had a fumble recovery because he was paying attention and hustling.
I'm excited to see what he looks like when a QB gives him a chance...Neb and Wisc games were promising.
What about White and Hopkins? Interesting Donielle is included without the other 2?CrAB

Dylan’s body language and effort were exponentially better with AK8 getting the snap.Room looks like this year’s room + CAB and Croomes. Leading up to the Wisky game this board was filled with folks who tagged WRs as our biggest liability/need. I leaned that way. Now suddenly our room is “great?” I hope so, but color me a bit skeptical still. I do think AK8 can be a bigger difference.
Happens all the time. Always forget about the guys developing. If Hayes doesn't make an immediate impact, a year from now people will be excited for the next WR recruit and forget about Hayes. What about White and Hopkins? Interesting Donielle is included without the other 2?
I'd would argue over the last two years, when we actually decide to throw to him, he has the highest positive outcome percentage in that room meaning catch or PI drawn. He just hasn't been thrown to that often.Five star ability, one star effort.
If we land Chartlotte WR transfer Elijah Spencer who is on an OV right now and no one else transfers out, or at least the major contributors, that would give us the best WR room in the West and outside of OSU, one of the best in the entire conference."Great?"
I would go with "promising."
still have to see what it looks like on the field.
hey, given the choice, I'll take more options. but they still have to get on the same page with the QB, the WR coach and the OC.
and I still doubt that MN is going to turn into an aerial circus. more likely throw another 8-10 passes a game - unless the running game takes a step backwards.

He doesn’t get thrown to because he doesn’t get separation and doesn’t always give full effort on his routes. Even many of his great catches often seem to be contested. Yes he has the talent to make those highlight reel, jump ball catches, but the thing that made TJ and Bateman great is they ran great routes and seemed to be wide open all the time. Wright isn’t getting overlooked due to scheme or favoritism, he has had plenty of opportunity to prove himself.I'd would argue over the last two years, when we actually decide to throw to him, he has the highest positive outcome percentage in that room meaning catch or PI drawn. I don’t know how anyone couldn’t be skeptical. It’s not enough for these guys to flash talent every few games or so, we need consistent, reliable pass catchers, and most of these guys have not reached that level. Can they? Sure, but I’ll believe it when I see it.Room looks like this year’s room + CAB and Croomes. Leading up to the Wisky game this board was filled with folks who tagged WRs as our biggest liability/need. In regards to MBS, I wonder if that hit he took against OSU last year is still affecting him psychologically. Seems like he hasn't been the same since.Really it’s 5 returning pass catchers and one pass dropper since you included MBS
Kristen Hoskins? Don’t sleep on that dude. What about White and Hopkins? Interesting Donielle is included without the other 2?
He wasn’t that good before that point either. In fact he’s definitely been better since that point. In regards to MBS, I wonder if that hit he took against OSU last year is still affecting him psychologically. Seems like he hasn't been the same since.
Agreed, some recency bias makes me hopeful, but a lot of games of no separation and etc for a lot stretch of games means I wouldn’t bet on many of these guys consistency wise.PJ and company are recruiting WRs hard. You wouldn't be the only skeptical one.
