Reasons Dredrick Snelson Should Come to Minnesota

Because it is not creepy that a bunch of middle-age and older men are spending more time trying to convince a 17-year old kid to play football at their school then they did wooing their wife/gf/partner/etc.

I don't think of myself as middle aged or older thank you very much!

But yeah recruiting stuff is pretty creepy.

But yeah recruiting stuff is pretty creepy.

Following recruiting through the sites that cover it is one thing, the flip side to that are the fans that go direct to the recruit now through social media and what not. Have to think for a high school prospect most of it is probably pretty harmless and maybe even a little amusing/fun but knowing how obsessed some fans get I would think the creep factor probably comes into play as well at times.

I guarantee some of these guys get a major kick out of messing with fans knowing how wrapped up some of them get in it.

Maybe some do that but they're just kids... they know squat... and they're making big decisions with almost no useful information and a bunch of people who only have self serving motivations.

That's a ****ty spot to be in.

Where is the information coming from that Snelson is upset that they decommitted?

He said it on twitter. Sorry I'm at work and don't have the link.

Dredrick Snelson's tweets, in order:

1: "Things come and go..." 1/5/16
2: "I should've enrolled in college early..." 1/5/16
3: "This recruiting process is crazy..." 1/7/16
4: "I swear you can't trust anyone..." 1/8/16
5: He retweeted a quarterback saying "Aye, show my boy @D_Snelson2 some love, he's close to coming to the U!" (referring to U-Miami). 1/10/16

Anyone actually think that there's a chance he still comes here? Or do they stay a trio and go to Maryland.

Lying pied pipers and snake oil salesmen are not in short supply in some places.

They tell the recruits what they want to hear.

IMHO, if I am Snelson I'd consider playing for the Gophers. Like somebody said, BMOC in MN like Eric Decker.

Wow sorry guess I'm wrong.

Wow sorry guess I'm wrong.

I wouldn't say wrong. These tweets are extremely tough to decipher. Retweeting the QB showing love for Miami would disprove the theory that he will stick with the Daniels twins, as I dont believe they have an offer from Miami? He also does seem a bit fed up with the antics. Him saying he should have enrolled early, to me, admits he should be in Minneapolis already.

Assuming of course that you are properly reading the mind of a 17 (or however old he is) year old kid posting tiny tidbits of info.

Perfect Summer and Fall football weather...
... and even if it does get cold Gopher games will be moved inside to the new USBank Stadium (I'm pretty sure that's what'll happen).

That will never happen on a regular basis. Aside from perhaps an occasional one off, they're not playing in the Vikings stadium.

Agree, I am sure the Gophers will play a game at the Vikings new stadium at some point but it won't be a regular thing and it won't be based on weather.

Reason # 32 to come to Minnesota: With the Gophers you get a food training table that's sponsored by the "Land O' Lakes" Corporation -- think of it, an all you can eat butter buffet (with a side of bacon of course).
