Re-ranking the tenures of FBS head coaches from 1-to-134: 2025 edition (Fleck: 17th longest tenure in FBS out of 134 coaches)

I know he inherited something good from Urban Meyer but Kyle Wittingham has done some really impressive work at Utah.

Mark Stoops is 28-62 in the SEC. .311. 1 season in 12 with a winning conference record and 2 seasons with 8+ wins.

Dave Doeren is 47-51 in the ACC .480. 4 of 12 seasons with a winning conference record. Seven 8+ win seasons.

Matt Campbell is 45-36 in the B12 .556. 7 of 9 seasons with a winning conference record. Four 8+ win seasons.

PJ Fleck is 34-36 in the B1G .486. 4 of 8 seasons with a winning conference record. Four 8+ win seasons.

Justin Wilcox is 23-43 over PAC12 and B12 .348. 0 of 8 seasons with a winning conference record. One 8 win season.

Campbell and Fleck play 9 conference games.

If Fleck is 34-36 in the B1G (I didn’t check those numbers), then his teams have won 34 of 70 conference games, which turns out to be .486.

Good catch. I was flipping pages and grabbed the wrong number.

Doeren has really benefitted from playing 4 non conference games.
