RB Ky Thomas transferred from MN to Kansas to Kent State to Washburn.

Yeah, he looked pretty damn good as a freshman when pushed into action due to injuries of those above him. Something must have happened since he left.

021 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Started four of the nine games he played in • led team in rushing attempts (166), rushing yards (824) and tied for the team lead in rushing touchdowns (6) • his 824 rushing yards rank fourth all-time for a Gopher freshman • his 91.6 yards per game average ranked sixth in the Big Ten and his 824 rushing yards placed him ninth in the conference (most for anyone who played in nine games or less) • caught six passes for 44 yards.

He looked good for the Gophers. Was the O-line just that good or what happened?
He had conditioning issues. It was why he was in the dog house with Fleck his FR season. It was why he lost playing time to a significantly less talented but much more reliable/hard working player like Bryce Williams.

He overplayed his hand. Too bad. Wish him the best.

I was never super high on him but I really thought he was at least a serviceable Big 10 running back for sure.

Sure did. I was disappointed when he decided to transfer. But the Gophers backfield has always been "next man up".....so ultimately his departure didn't make a whole lot of difference.

Surprised he could transfer back to a Minneapolis High School after playing three years at the collegiate level.
